Honey Calcite Sphere 

A polished honey calcite sphere, 5cm across, mined in Michigan.

Cream and honey tones sweep across the surface in soft bands, with vivid orange lines threading through them. One side opens into a natural crystalline pocket, left unpolished, where the calcite is coarser and paler than the smooth faces around it.

It sits neatly in the palm, and makes an easy piece to hold or to rest on a shelf.

Stone: Natural honey calcite.

Origin: Michigan.

Size: 5cm across.

Finish: Polished, with a natural unpolished crystalline pocket on one side.

One only: The piece in the photographs is the one that arrives. Honey calcite is a natural stone, so the colour, banding and crystalline detail will vary from the photograph.
