Small Companions, Carved Properly

A crystal animal is a carving before it's anything else. Each of these is cut by hand rather than cast or pressed, so the shape follows the stone. A dolphin sits in a piece of malachite the way that piece of malachite allows, and what you see is the one you get.

Some pieces here are crystal and some are shell, so I've kept that clear on each listing. Every one is chosen by me, and the same rule applies as across the shop. Where a supplier can tell me where the stone came from and how the ethics behind it are handled, I buy. Where they can't, I don't. It's why the range is small, and why a piece may not come back once it's gone.

Animals have carried meanings for a long time: the turtle as patience and long life, the dolphin as companionship, the owl as night wisdom. That's folklore and symbolism, and it's how I describe them here. If you want to know what a particular piece is carved from or where it started out, just ask me.
