Amethyst in the rough, left as it came out of the ground rather than cut or polished. A cluster of points covers the face, deep purple at the tips and paler towards the base, set on the dark grey rock it grew on.
Nothing has been shaped here. The points stand at their own angles and the surface is exactly as it formed, so the light moves across it as you turn it. It sits flat on a shelf or a windowsill without a stand.
