Rose quartz is traditionally associated with self-regard, gentleness and affection. It's the stone most people keep by a bed, on a windowsill or in a pocket, and it's usually the first one anyone buys.

This is the rough, natural form. Each chunk is a different shape, so the surfaces vary from piece to piece and no two are the same. Some carry an orange iron band running through the middle where the mineral content changed as the stone formed.

Size: Approximately 5-6cm. You'll receive one chunk at random.

Care: Rose quartz can be washed in warm water and dried with a soft cloth. Keep it out of prolonged direct sunlight, as the colour will fade over time. Rough edges can be sharp, so handle the unwrapped pieces with care.

Origin: Mined in Brazil.
