Selenite Slab

A slab of natural selenite, cut with flat faces and a thick length of crystal running through it. The grain is fibrous, so the surface carries fine vertical lines along the body and a soft sheen where the light catches it. It's raw stone rather than a polished piece, and the ends are cut flat so it sits steady without rolling.

This piece is clear through to milky white, with the light passing through the thinner edges. It's the stone people tend to keep on a windowsill or beside them while they're working, and in the shop's terms it's the one I'd point to if you want to clear energy before you start.

Stone: Natural selenite.

Size: Approximately 10cm long and 5cm across.

Care: Keep it dry. Selenite is a form of gypsum, so water will pit and soften it, and it scratches easily. Dust with a soft, dry cloth and keep it away from damp rooms.
