Traditional Christmas crackers with a twist: pull one and inside you'll find a tumblestone rather than a plastic trinket, along with a card telling you what the stone is and a fact about it, and a joke to groan at across the table.

The stones are the small polished pieces I keep for exactly this, so they're smooth in the hand and a decent weight for their size. The kind that ends up in a pocket and stays there. Each cracker has a different stone.

Four to a box, and the paper, card and contents all go in the recycling or the keep pile rather than the bin. Good for the table at Christmas dinner, and good for anyone who'd rather their cracker left them with something worth keeping.
